AP Chemistry Summer Assignments

1.    Acquire the official textbook for the class. Chang, Raymond. Chemistry. 9th Ed. McGraw-Hill, 2007 (ISBN-13 978-0-07-298060-8)

2.    Read Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of the textbook.

3.    Go to www.doctortang.com

a.  Download the Unit 1 Outline and the Unit 1 Notes in the AP Chemistry Section.

      (Only the Outline is printable, the Notes are not)

b.  Do the even questions of the assigned problems from Chapter 1 and Chapter 2.

4.    Watch the “Chemistry – A Volatile History” – all three episodes. Pay particular attention to Lavoiser, Dalton, Cavendish, Mendeleev, Rutherford and Bohr. You may watch other videos on the same site (especially – “Atoms – The Clash of the Titans”)
